What’s Christmas without a ham sandwich?
Ok I know it’s been some time since I’ve posted anything, but hey, life’s been busy. I’m on winter break now and I can finally get some of these posts out of my head on onto the screen!
This one is easy-peasy! I really enjoy cooking, however I lack the timing (nightshift) and the hungry mouths to feed (I make way more than Aaron and myself can eat) So I’m passing some of my favorite recipes on to you (including a story about the recipe added bonus, level up) Give me some feedback on how you liked it!

I haven’t blinked for days!
I am brand new to the world that is Dr. Who. I jumped in this year at the beginning of Christopher Eccleston’s tenure as the 9th Doctor (Thanks again Netflix) I am currently at the beginning of season 4 and enjoying David Tennant as the Doctor. I love, love, love Dr. Who and look forward writing praise filled, lovey dovey, timey whimey posts about my favorite episodes, doctors, and companions. However, before I can even comprehend writing anything of that nature, I need to get this off of my anxiety ridden chest. This post is about the Dr. Who scare I never saw coming.

Miyazaki Moves in Mysterious Ways
Writer/Director Hayao Miyazaki takes you into a world that is so unfamiliar, yet surprisingly recognizable. Set in an early 20th century London-esque era, Howl’s Moving Castle is an animated tale of magic, friendship, and love.

Come on Chrissy, you're better than this
I love to read. I can usually finish a book in no time as long as I don’t have too much homework. Lately, I’ve been drawn to young adult sci fi fantasy/romance books. (I didn’t read much as a young adult so I’ve had some major catching up to do.) I usually purchase most of my reading material from Amazon.com after reading several reviews to make sure the books are worth my time and money. Amazon suggested that I read The Vampire Diaries. With the readers giving this series a good review and having read some other vampire genre books already, I purchased 3 of the books. I was fooled! (Damn you Amazon!) I finished the 3 books out of spite. The series wasn’t the worst I’ve ever read, however I don’t remember being impressed by the writing or story line. (Attractive girl is wooed by 150 year old vampire brothers. Let the hijinks ensue.) When the CW decided to make The Vampire Diaries into a series all I could think was “Damnit!” With the book series being uninspiring and monotonous, this TV show will be, has to be, garbage right? My next thought was “Phew, glad I don’t have cable! I won’t be tempted into watching this abomination.” I promised myself not to be ‘sucked’ into watching this mess of a TV show. (I heart puns)

An Office easter egg
After Michael accidentally hits Meredith with his car in the season 4 opener of The Office, she returns to work in episode 3 and asks Jim to sign her cast. At first glance it looks like John Krasinski signs Jim's name, but if you take a closer look (which I did!), you will see that he signs his own name!

The One With....
A charismatic cast with impeccable timing and great chemistry, intelligent, witty writing, a great time slot and advertising slogan to go with it and finally an annoyingly catchy theme song. There’s always that show that defines your youth. This is my ode to Friends.

It's me again, for the first time
Greetings and welcome to Comfy Socks. This blog is a place for me to express my feelings on a number of topics in a entertaining and hopefully humorous way. I am pee-your-pants excited about this adventure!
